The Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) campus is NIH’s state-of-the-art research facility of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).  It is located in Hamilton, MT, 40 miles south of Missoula.  The RML mission is to study infectious microbes that cause disease in humans and animals.
The campus includes a series of office, laboratory, and support facilities.  A Biosafety Level 4 laboratory was completed in 2007 as part of the biodefense program, and NIH is developing a Master Plan for future development of the campus.
