Building 38 or the National Library of Medicine

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) on the Bethesda campus is the world's largest medical library, equivalent to four football fields.  The Library collects materials and provides information and research services in all areas of biomedicine and health care.  The NLM medical database is available to the public worldwide.  The building also includes a museum of medical history with one of the world's finest collections of old and rare medical works.
The nearest NIH Shuttle Stop is in front of the Lister Hill Center part of the building (Building 38A).
